Freight Operations Manager Position in Aviation Solutions

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Freight Operations Manager to oversee all facets of import freight operations. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with various departments to foster a supportive team environment within the branch. Your responsibilities will include automating cargo consolidation processes, overseeing documentation handovers, liaising with airlines for flight information and freight availability, and processing check-ins before the end of the day.
Key Responsibilities- Automate cargo consolidation processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Oversee the processing of documentation handovers to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Liaise with airlines for flight information and freight availability to ensure seamless operations
- Process all check-ins before the end of the day to meet customer expectations
- Assist the warehouse team in maintaining speedy and accurate import services
- Report and monitor damage and surplus cargo to management, investigate, and take appropriate action, including claims processing in line with the company's claims procedure
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide the team
- Clear understanding of pallet sizes, weight restrictions, and knowledge of weight balancing to anticipate daily volumes from pre-alerts
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Freight Forwarding/Logistics Industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues to address any queries or concerns
- Demonstrated ability to understand employees' concerns and provide alternative solutions
- Display a high level of customer service and maturity when dealing with customers, peers, and managers
- Attractive Salary of up to $90,000 + Super + OT
