Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Terminal Operations Coordinator to join our team at DP World Australia's Port Botany Terminal.

This is a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our terminal, and you will play a critical part in achieving our commitment to operational excellence.

The successful candidate will have strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will be responsible for developing reports, communicating with industry stakeholders, and providing updates on terminal operations.

About the Role

  • Ensure terminal operations comply with all relevant statutory requirements;
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, including daily/weekly revenue calculations and monthly reporting;
  • Communicate current terminal operating conditions to industry stakeholders;
  • Provide updates on PBLIS issues and respond to queries from customers and other stakeholders;
  • Assist in planning and executing the daily terminal plan, working closely with the Landside Superintendent and Transport Coordinator;

Key Requirements

  • A minimum 2 years' experience in transport/rail/maritime/marine/stevedoring operations/customer service;
  • Effective customer service, oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel required;
  • High attention to detail and ability to rectify errors efficiently;
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage workloads, work autonomously, and as a member of a team so that timely and effective results are achieved;
