State Street AlphaSM redefines the conventional notion of 'alpha' to signify enhancing performance and outcomes throughout the investment lifecycle. It is the pioneering open platform from a single provider that integrates the front, middle, and back office. This platform harmonizes data, technology, and services across trusted providers to assist our clients in effectively managing their operations. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Client Implementation Leader, you will oversee the successful delivery of one or more implementation initiatives. You will guide managers and update executives on progress and performance. A successful leader in this role must possess extensive knowledge of program management principles, experience in steering organizations through transformational change, and the capability to foster relationships and engage effectively at executive and C-suite levels. You must adopt a strategic mindset while leading highly matrixed teams at State Street. The objective is to ensure every initiative is delivered successfully and provides maximum value to our clients and the organization.

  • Serve as the business owner accountable for the successful delivery of the initiative, acting as the senior liaison between the client and State Street.
  • Collaborate with clients to comprehend their strategies, business objectives, operational requirements, and challenges. Provide subject matter expertise and industry insights to facilitate Alpha solution discussions.
  • Initiate and establish goals for initiatives aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Oversee and approve initiative plans, including tasks from State Street, clients, and critical third parties.
  • Ensure initiative milestones and dependencies align with the agreed-upon scope and timeline.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations for the initiative.
  • Establish Project Governance both internally and with the client, ensuring frequent and appropriate communication with all stakeholders.
  • Drive the client, internal stakeholders, and critical third parties to fulfill their tasks and milestones; ensure proper governance and program reporting.
  • Foster a high-performance culture across the initiative teams, encouraging collaboration to achieve client outcomes with a unified State Street approach.
  • Supervise all program and project managers involved, providing feedback and resolving complex issues.
  • Implement standardized change control processes, and maintain risk, issue, and decision logs.
  • Ensure initiative activities comply with legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Build and nurture relationships with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement to minimize implementation time, enhance quality, improve client experience, and facilitate quicker revenue recognition.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale transformational initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment management processes, including back office functions. Experience with front-to-back investment servicing and operations functions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with front and middle office technology is advantageous. Knowledge of systems such as Charles River, Blackrock Aladdin, Thinkfolio, SimCorp Dimension, Markit EDM, Eagle Pace, etc.
  • Experience with Agile software development, highly configurable systems, and leading testing methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
