Workplace Relations Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Workplace Relations Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing strategic advice and support on complex people management issues.

  • Provide support for the management of Enterprise Agreement bargaining process, including implementation and communication
  • Manage the governance of our People Policy framework, including ongoing audit, approvals and reviews
  • Provide secretariat support for the National Staff Consultative Forum
  • Maintain effective internal and external networks, including representing the department and liaising effectively with key stakeholders

This role requires strong policy and operational knowledge, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have:

  • Expertise in workplace relations, employment conditions and remuneration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prepare complex briefs, submissions and reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ideal candidate will be an Australian citizen and possess a strong understanding of APS policies and procedures.
