Event Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Event Coordinator to join our team. The primary goal of this role is to plan, coordinate, and execute weddings and social events with precision and attention to detail.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work under pressure, and possess a strong ability to multitask. They will also have experience in event planning, coordination, and execution, preferably within the hospitality or wedding industry.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate all aspects of weddings and social events, from initial inquiry to final execution
  2. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences
  3. Plan and execute events according to client specifications and hotel policies
  4. Assist with departmental reports and analytics to improve sales and revenue growth
  5. Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations for event venues
  6. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including chefs, decorators, and other departments
  7. Ensure seamless execution of events by managing timelines, budgets, and vendors
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with repeat clients and referral partners
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or a related role
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
