
Ecommerce Partnerships Growth Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our e-commerce partnerships strategy and growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial roles, specifically in business development and strategic partner management.
This role requires strong product instincts in payments and e-commerce, with a solid understanding of product strategy and scalability through partnerships. Experience in leading cross-functional teams, negotiating partnership deals, and managing internal and external stakeholders is essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and activating strategic partnerships that drive growth, revenue, and customer value. They will work closely with various departments to launch and activate partnership programs, develop business cases, and leverage partners' products and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and pursue strategic partnership opportunities aligned with our customer value proposition.
- SOURCE AND NEGOTIATE GLOBAL AND REGIONAL PARTNERSHIPS TO EXPAND PAYMENT COLLECTION AND DISBURSEMENT METHODS.
- Work with commercial finance to build business cases for investment with clear and measurable outcomes.
- Develop and execute partnership and sales strategies to reach product and commercial objectives within the e-commerce vertical.
- Launch and fully activate a partnership program that develops a cross-referral ecosystem in the ecommerce vertical.
- Work with Product to identify product gaps that can be addressed through partnerships and further augment CVP.
- Build external network.
- Train internal regional teams on best practice and partnership activation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant tertiary qualifications.
- 7+ years of financial services / payments work experience in a commercial role, with 2+ years spent in business development, strategic partner management, or similar roles at a technology company.
- Experience in leading and defining business cases.
- Track record of working with cross functional teams to leverage partners' products and capabilities and experience in activating partnerships to full potential.
- Strong product instincts in payments and e-commerce.
- An understanding of product strategy and key requirements for scaling products and operations through partnerships, especially with a "users first" mentality.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating product enablement or partnership deals, with a strong perspective on how partnerships can create value and differentiation.
- Internal and external stakeholder management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - including the ability to speak to different functional stakeholders such as legal, product, engineering, and sales.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of presenting clearly at Board level.
