Position: Support Care Specialist

We are currently seeking casual Support Care Specialists.

As a Support Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and dressing.
  • Administering prescribed medications.
  • Facilitating mobility through the use of hoists and slide sheets, as well as providing general assistance.
  • Performing household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Encouraging community involvement by accompanying clients to appointments, shopping, and recreational activities.

This position is well-suited for individuals who:

  • Are available to work flexible hours on a rotating schedule, as we provide support around the clock.
  • Can commit to overnight and weekend shifts.
  • Possess strong communication skills and are dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
  • Are attentive listeners who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Maintain composure in various situations and understand the significance of professional boundaries.
  • Can provide personal care with respect and sensitivity.
  • Believe in the importance of an inclusive society and uphold values such as respect, integrity, and excellence.

Requirements prior to starting include:

  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • A Blue Card (Working with Children Card).
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • A commitment to infection control measures, including the use of PPE as necessary.
  • A smartphone with an iOS 13.0 or higher or an Android 6.0 or higher operating system.
