Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Vendor Relations Specialist to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our collections team, you will be responsible for facilitating collections activity and reducing losses in accordance with our company guidelines and regulatory requirements. Your primary focus will be on liaising with customers, external Debt Collections Agencies (DCA), and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient collections processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party collection vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable outsourcing activities and regulatory requirements, including BNPL code, DCGs, ASIC, Privacy Act, CCFA, and others.
  • Drive performance improvement and collection efficiency through data analysis and process optimization.
  • Facilitate annual DCA audits and identify, evaluate, monitor, and escalate third-party risks as needed.
  • Participate in Monthly, Quarterly Governance meetings and DCA Call Calibrations sessions.
  • Coordinate and manage changes to supplier and third-party management processes driven by policy, regulations, or improvement opportunities.
  • Manage and monitor contracts, including service level agreements (SLAs) for third-party collection vendors.
  • Complete Collections reporting requirements according to Global Collection Oversight Framework.
  • Built and maintain relationships with key stakeholders by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Credit risk, finance, Legal & Compliance, Security and Privacy, operations, and customer service, to set targets, streamline collections processes, and enhance efficiency in line with overall business goals.
  • Manage and record third-party collection vendors incidents and report to internal stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, both internally and externally.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience in call auditing/call calibrations.
  • Collections experience.
  • Shown expertise with financial investigations demonstrating risk-based judgment, problem-solving skills, and strong analytical ability.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, influencing, and facilitation skills, with strong oral and written communication ability.
  • Shown ability to effectively work independently while also collaborating with team members as well as internal business units and industry peers.
  • Exceptional client focus: ability to form relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence effectively and quickly.
  • Working knowledge of ANZ Regulatory requirements; BNPL code, DCGs, ASIC, Privacy Act, CCFA etc.
