About the Role

As Strategic Operations Lead for Risk Management and Governance, you'll play a key role in ensuring regulatory obligations are met, customer complaints and errors are resolved in a timely manner, and performance management reporting is delivered on a consistent basis.

This role is within the leadership team of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) AU & PNG, Institutional.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the entire COO Aus, International and Group Capability Centre colleagues to understand risks/issues, past, present and emerging, and lay down measurable strategies to de-risk the business.
  • Drive cultural change and embedding of the NFR Framework and associated policy requirements on behalf of the business and its ultimate Line 1 Risk Owner.
  • End-to-end ownership of regulatory reporting and communications relevant to tasks undertaken for Institutional AU & PNG customers.
  • Champion identification and understanding future and emerging risks, including monitoring external and internal business environment to identify and understand future and emerging strategic risks.
  • Monitor customer outcomes (quality and timeliness of delivery) and oversee resolution of customer complaints.
  • Ensure financial management of the business is delivered effectively, including planning/forecasting/budgeting/STPs and projects.

You Will Bring:

  • Extensive experience in the banking and financial services sector.
  • Navigating varied cultural contexts while leading, planning and executing change.
  • Knowledge of ANZ's Non-Financial risk framework and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to identify performance uplift opportunities and influence others to make required improvements.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills backed up by excellent communication ability, written and verbal.

About the Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
