Senior Laboratory Operations Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing laboratory operations to provide an efficient and effective service across operational management, compliance management, financial planning and reporting, department performance monitoring and reporting, corporate risk management, human resources management and strategic planning.
Main Duties- Lead and manage staff to maintain professional standards and accreditation within organisational funding and performance frameworks.
- Demonstrate expertise in immunohaematology, pre-transfusion testing and blood product selection.
- Develop and implement quality improvement and risk management strategies, understanding regulatory requirements in healthcare.
- Apply strategic thinking and professional networks in a pathology specialty, with knowledge of the role of public laboratories within Australian and NSW health systems.
This is a leadership opportunity within our diagnostic transfusion laboratory at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney. The role requires working a 24-hour roster, seven days a week, including public holidays.
