About the Position

The Senior Laboratory Operations Director will oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of our laboratory services. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify areas for improvement, foster innovation, and implement plans that align with our organization's vision and goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversight of daily laboratory operations, ensuring all processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with quality standards and best practices.
  • Strategic management of laboratory resources, including personnel, rosters, equipment, and budgets, to optimize performance.
  • Establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational outcomes and presentation of clear, data-driven reports on departmental efficiency.
  • Action taken when standards are not met—coaching Team Leaders through corrective measures and escalating issues as necessary
  • Leadership of workforce planning initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, succession, and development to build a resilient, future-ready team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated track record in driving operational improvements and leading strategic growth initiatives.
  • Experience working in a Medical Laboratory environment is desirable.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Natural aptitude for presenting externally, advocating for the practice, and speaking to the values and objectives of the business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
