Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team at RFBI Basin View Masonic Village on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide range of maintenance tasks, including building and garden maintenance, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and handyman tasks around the village, including repairs and maintenance of buildings and equipment
  • Identify and manage defects in the village, ensuring prompt resolution to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Maintain all garden areas, ensuring they are well kept and visually appealing
  • Supervise and coordinate external contractors in servicing the village, ensuring compliance with RFBI's standards and regulations
Requirements
  • A trade qualification and/or extensive experience in general maintenance and gardening
  • Knowledge of and commitment to WH&S responsibilities, including first aid and driver's license
  • Excellent people skills and empathy for older people living in residential care and retirement village settings
  • A willingness to participate in risk management and continuous quality improvement
