About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Housing Officer to join our team at Hunter Recruitment Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families to access and sustain housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tenancy agreements, property inspections, and lease documentation to ensure compliance with NSW Tenancy legislation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure property repairs and upkeep are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Address tenant and neighbour complaints, managing rent and arrears to maintain a positive and respectful relationship with clients.
  • Represent our client at NCAT hearings and handle end-of-tenancy processes with professionalism and expertise.
  • Work closely with support teams to sustain tenancies and provide exceptional tenant service, engaging with sensitivity and empathy to build and maintain effective relationships.

Requirements:

  • Experience in property or tenancy management, with a strong understanding of NSW Tenancy legislation.
  • Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Housing, or equivalent experience, with a focus on customer service and relationship building.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A strong ability to engage and support individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with vulnerable and complex needs, with a non-judgmental and positive approach.
  • A current NSW Driver's License, with experience using SDM, Microsoft platforms, and inspection tools an advantage.
