**Assets Officer - Hunter region**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Assets Officer is responsible for the efficient delivery of residential Asset based Planned and Cyclical Maintenance with the purpose of providing quality homes to our customers. The position will also provide a project management, site supervision and quality assurance role for ad hoc projects for the assets and maintenance team.

The Assets Officer will be working across all Hume’s locations and therefore working remotely and in the field, to allow flexibility and to optimize productivity by reducing travel time.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Support the delivery of quality repairs that meet our customer’s needs by assisting in the development of the planned, cyclical and Vacant maintenance programs
- Project Management of ad hoc work
- Development and Administration of Planned Work and Preventative Maintenance schedules.
- Preparing work orders and allocating work to appropriate contractors
- Monitoring contractor performance and maintaining up to date contractor compliance and safety details
- Reporting on monthly maintenance work completions and spend
- Reviewing invoices for timely payment
- Maintaining accurate repair records in the assets management system
- Build effective working relationships with service providers

**WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU**

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate superior customer service skills working with a diverse customer base. To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and juggle competing demands
- Experience in Facilities Management and Asset Maintenance within the residential space, preferably in a social or residential housing setting
- Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance and project management practices
- Well-developed Computer literacy to facilitate the use of Hume’s asset management system, and use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Cultural alignment to Hume’s values
