About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer to play a key role in supporting individuals and families to access and sustain housing. The successful candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, a deep understanding of social housing systems, and the ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage tenancy agreements, property inspections, and lease documentation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams for property repairs and upkeep.
  • Address tenant and neighbour complaints, managing rent and arrears.
  • Represent our client at NCAT hearings and handle end-of-tenancy processes.
  • Work closely with support teams to sustain tenancies and provide exceptional tenant service.

This is a full-time role with the potential for permanent employment after the contract period. The Housing Officer will manage a portfolio of 120-130 properties across East Maitland, Raymond Terrace, and Port Stephens.

  • A competitive salary based on a 35-hour week, estimated to be around $65,000 - $80,000 per annum.
  • A 9-day fortnight with alternating WFH days and RDOs.
