Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture Overview

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability.

The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments:

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
  • Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
  • RAAF Base Wagga

Project Scope

The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate various elements including:

  • Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
  • Construction of new training facilities
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
  • Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

Job Requirements

As a Senior Safety Advisor, you will report to the Safety Manager and support the project in achieving optimum safety outcomes. Your role will involve:

  • Supporting staff and subcontractors to achieve best possible outcomes
  • Developing, analysing and reporting on complex project performance
  • Delivering training in high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined space and rescue training
  • Engaging with subcontractors and communicating with people at all levels to ensure safety and compliance

Benefits

This role offers an attractive relocation package that includes removalist cost and a LAFHA (for eligible individuals). You will also have opportunities across all construction sectors and access to a unique set of benefits including competitive remuneration and excellent benefits.

Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
