We are seeking a skilled and experienced leader to fill the position of Therapeutic Franchise Head. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies to support new business proposals and delivering high-quality project results within a specific therapeutic area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Strategy Development: Create and optimize innovative delivery strategies and solutions for early and late-phase studies or programs, leveraging expertise in the relevant therapeutic area and operational capabilities.
- Business Growth: Collaborate with functional area heads and stakeholders to actively support long-term business growth.
- New Business Acquisition: Partner with business development teams to evaluate and manage new opportunities, award business to achieve identified targets, and develop project budgets aligned with requested project strategy.
- Project Delivery: Act as Emerald Clinical project champion for awarded projects, guide and mentor assigned project leads, and define project team profiles and organizational structures.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related science or healthcare discipline.
- Minimum 10 years global clinical research experience, including hands-on operational project delivery and/or drug development experience.
- Minimum 5 years global business development experience, ideally in a hands-on capacity.
- Expert experience in one or more operational areas and ability to understand and implement projects within assigned area of expertise.
- Up-to-date knowledge and access to information supporting effectiveness as an Operational Strategy lead.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, negotiate solutions, and have difficult conversations with internal/external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and lead virtual teams in matrix organizations.
- Strong business acumen, including confidence with financial considerations, negotiation, and influencing skills.
