We're seeking a skilled HR Business Partner to join our People and Performance team in Queensland. As a key member of our leadership group, you'll play a vital role in supporting our diverse workforce across multiple sites.

This is a hybrid position, with a primary base at our Murarrie processing site and flexibility to work from home two days a week. Occasional travel to other sites will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with stakeholders to provide expert advice on people-related matters, including employment relations, performance management, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Lead and support local enterprise agreement negotiations and foster productive union relationships.
  • Support leaders in managing employment relations matters, including conducting workplace investigations.
  • Coach and influence leaders to develop and sustain a constructive culture.
  • Support governance initiatives and assist in standardizing and simplifying people processes.
  • Understand people needs in areas such as talent development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and leadership development, and work with the broader P&P team to develop and execute strategic people initiatives.
  • Work with the L&D team to build capability of front-line leaders.
  • Drive local implementation of people processes, including remuneration and performance reviews, and talent and succession processes.
  • Contribute positively to the wider P&P team, fostering open communication and actively seeking feedback.
  • Partner with key stakeholders for recruiting and ensure new hires have a positive and seamless experience.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated business partnering experience within a large, complex operational environment, supporting a diverse, multi-site workforce.
  • Experience in applying workplace relations legislation and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a unionized environment, leading and assisting with negotiating Enterprise Agreements and building productive union relationships.
  • The ability to build strong relationships, develop trust, and influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • A high level of proficiency in advising on all aspects of the employee life cycle.
  • The ability to develop, implement, and embed new processes, policies, and systems in a complex environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with high-level interpersonal and relationship management skills and strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly effective time management and prioritization skills and the capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with remote stakeholders.
  • Tertiary studies in a HR or business-related degree preferred.
