About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Estimating & Cost Planning Professional to join our Social Infrastructure team as a key member of our project delivery team.

As a highly experienced Estimator & Cost Planner, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all planning and estimates for new and existing projects within this space.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement bid pricing templates, processes, and systems capability to drive cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead the bid pricing development process, including establishing a subcontract and supplier base by trade, providing scopes of services, engagement, analysis, and review of supplier pricing submissions and quotations.
  • In collaboration with the Asset Manager, interpret drawings, specifications, briefs, scopes, and contract & legislative standards, including any design solution changes during the bid period, and assess and document their impact on project costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering during the estimating process. Provide recommendations for alternative materials, construction methods, or design modifications that can optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Manage a high-quality bid handover from the tender team to the project team, ensuring that key pricing information is transferred for successful delivery.
  • Develop an Estimating Management Plan to track and improve effectiveness.
  • Ensure that business tender pricing and negotiations are conducted in a way that protects company interests.
  • Manage estimating budget spending and maintain costs within approved limits.
About You
  • You must have at least 7 years' experience in the D&SI AM/FM industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience working with major AM/FM portfolios in a projects environment.
  • Exceptional internal and external stakeholder management skills.
  • Senior experience in supplier negotiations and contract agreements.
  • You must have full Australian working rights and the ability to complete a successful background check.
