Customer Retention Representative

The Opportunity

As a Customer Retention Representative, you will play a pivotal role in handling merchant inquiries and providing holistic advice to internal and external customers. Your responsibility will be to deliver accurate needs-based solutions, product recommendations, and suitable incentives for customers to remain with the JV, while maintaining profitable pricing structures.

Collaborating closely with other team members, you will uncover and refer new sales opportunities. This role will continue to evolve and develop further.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Engaging with customers to understand their merchant needs and JV products and services, providing retention solutions that align with business revenue expectations and preserve customer value for the commercial division

- Possessing expert knowledge of how customers take payments for their business, conducting insightful needs-based conversations with business customers, and offering valuable advice and tailored recommendations for their payment needs

- Ensuring the customer remains at the forefront of all interactions within the retention team

- Managing issues and complaints effectively in collaboration with the Customer Services team

- Delivering on agreed outcomes for Quality Assurance, Conversion, and Call monitoring

- Achieving quality customer and business outcomes in adherence to JV policies and values (customer contacts)

- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate knowledge of Merchant products, processes, and pricing within the retention team

- Meeting agreed service levels in terms of quality and SLAs

- Collaborating with team members, the wider JV team, Commercial frontline, and Customer Services teams

- Providing feedback and insights regarding merchant repricing and retention to the SME sales team
