About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Destination Ambassador Supervisor to join our team at Chandler Macleod. As a key member of our Visitor Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors of Sydney, while also supporting the training and coordination of our volunteer Ambassadors.

This is a dynamic and varied role that will see you working across multiple Visitor Service locations, including the City's Roaming Ambassador program, Cruise Meet & Greet, and special events. You will be required to work a 7-day roster, with hours varying between 5-8 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality customer service to visitors of Sydney, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Assist with the training and coordination of our volunteer Ambassadors, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent service.
  • Set up and manage the cruise meet & greet service and special events visitor service areas, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.
  • Act as a point of contact for our volunteer Ambassadors, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with events and procedures, sharing information with visitors, colleagues, and volunteer Ambassadors as required.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Ambassadors and Visitor Services Coordinator, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to various programs associated with the Visitor and Business economy, working closely with stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
About You
  • You have a strong geographical knowledge of Sydney, New South Wales, travel, and tourism products and destinations.
  • You possess excellent customer/visitor focus and delivering high-quality service skills.
  • You have well-developed and effective interpersonal and written skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • You are a problem-solver with lateral thinking skills, able to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • You are willing to work a 7-day roster, with hours varying between 5-8 hours per day.
