Overview

Melbourne and Sydney based financial services company seeks a high-profile Risk Compliance Project Manager to join their team. The role involves working on a 12-month project with the potential for extension.

Salary

The position offers a competitive hourly rate between $90-$150 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead regulatory change projects within a large global organization. You will be responsible for managing medium- to large-scale client implementations with multiple workstreams and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include setting up project governance, managing resources, reviewing risk and gap registers, and collating weekly governance packs.

You will also act as an escalation point for workstream leads, project managers, and clients. Additionally, you will actively participate in new client sales processes, including RFI, RFP, and indicative implementation budget creation. Proven experience in regulatory compliance projects is essential, as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Experience in working in the banking sector, preferably in risk or compliance, is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven project experience covering regulatory compliance projects, such as CPS200, CPS220, CPS230, FAR, and similar initiatives
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Program/project/change management skills
  • Proven relevant experience with regulatory change, managing projects, or leading large initiatives within a large, global organization, preferably in the financial services sector
