We are seeking a specialist to join our department at ALDI Stores in Minchinbury. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in achieving our commitments by collaborating with stakeholders and implementing systems to ensure compliance with our standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight and coordination of packaging recyclability compliance to ensure alignment with our sustainable commitments.
  • Conducting reviews of packaging recyclability non-compliance during the due diligence/clearance-to-supply process.
  • Preparing detailed recommendations and actionable insights for buying teams and suppliers, ensuring alignment with our sustainability guidelines and providing alternatives that enhance compliance and reduce environmental impact.
  • Overseeing the supplier action plan process by creating and managing action plans, collaborating closely with buying teams, and ensuring that supplier partners implement and adhere to sustainable practices.
  • Preparing and presenting regular compliance reports to provide visibility into progress and highlight areas for improvement. Leverage these insights to inform decision-making and strengthen compliance efforts across departments.
  • Conducting regular audits and reviews across departments to identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge in packaging and sustainability.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting recyclability assessments within the PREP tool.
  • Understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data driven with strong analytical skills to provide recommendations on initiatives.
