Environmental Specialist - Compliance and Sustainability

This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of environmental outcomes and ensure compliance with environmental management requirements on a large-scale transmission infrastructure project.

As an Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring project-specific environmental management plans and requirements.

  • You will provide on-site environmental support, training, and guidance to construction teams.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance with approvals and legislation.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including regulators, community members, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare environmental reports, records, and documentation in line with project and regulatory requirements.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in environmental science and management. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the infrastructure, utilities, or construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to conduct monitoring, inspections, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Australian Citizen or full working rights in Australia.
  • Current Driver's License and Construction White Card (mandatory).
