Perpetual Group is an ASX-listed company (ASX:PPT) headquartered in Sydney, Australia, currently consisting of 11 leading brands across three distinct businesses: Asset Management, Wealth Management and Corporate Trust.

Following the completion of a comprehensive Strategic Review in May 2024, it was announced that Perpetual Limited will become a standalone Asset Management business, and has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) who will acquire the Corporate Trust and Wealth Management businesses.

An exciting opportunity is now available to be part of Perpetual Corporate Trust (PCT) and lead the sustainability agenda to ensure the PCT business is ready for climate disclosure. Also support integration of other key regulatory requirements impacting PCT.

Our corporate trust business is a leading provider of fiduciary and digital solutions to the banking and financial services industry in Australia and Singapore. It administers securitisation portfolios, investment and debt structures to protect the interests of our clients' investors. Corporate trust supports clients locally and overseas with a unique offering through five key service offerings: Debt Market Services; Managed Fund Services; Perpetual Asia, headquartered in Singapore; Perpetual Digital, and Laminar Capital.

About the Role

Join our dynamic team at Perpetual Corporate Trust As a Sustainability and Compliance Manager, you will:- End to end responsibility for identification, advice on and implementation of key regulatory initiatives impacting the business.- Create a climate action plan to prepare for mandatory climate-related disclosure and manage its implementation.- Deliver the collection, collation and reporting of Greenhouse Gas emissions metrics and manage external assurance of climate-related disclosure.- Training and briefings to directors and staff on regulatory initiatives including on topics such as climate disclosure and ESG disclosure.- Participate in internal and external working groups and preparation of submissions to government/industry on regulatory change and initiatives.- Responding to external ESG benchmarks and surveys and provide insights and support on ESG disclosure and thematics.- Collating and providing data to our clients & service providers to meet their climate reporting obligations.- Lead development and oversight of a community giving & volunteering program.- Upskill on current Perpetual Group climate disclosures and practises to ensure knowledge transfer to PCT.

About you

We're looking for someone with:
- A degree in law, business, accounting, economics, or a related field- Post graduate qualifications looked upon favourably- Understanding of sustainability-related standards and legislation such as TCFD, ISSB, ASRS and the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 and practices, governance and frameworks supporting these- An experienced sustainability, ESG or risk/compliance professional with a strong knowledge of sustainability-related issues and regulation, background in managing and implementing regulatory change projects and ensuring compliance with regulation- Strong understanding of the financial services regulatory environment in Australia across the Corporations Act in particular- Very strong project management skills with proven ability to execute- Experience in advising senior internal stakeholders and engaging with external stakeholders for peer-to-peer learning and sharing of best practice- Ability to research, analyse and interpret data and legislation- Strong communication and written skills and ability to drive engagement with stakeholders to implement regulatory change- Experience with modern slavery desirable.
