Job Title: Senior Contract Administrator

Job Description

The role of a Senior Contract Administrator is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects. This highly skilled professional is responsible for the assessment and preparation of progress claims, variation claims, and extensions of time.

A key aspect of this position is the preparation and issuance of tender packages, which requires meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of contract law. The Senior Contract Administrator must also prepare and monitor project construction programs, negotiating and preparing contracts for award as needed.

Another critical responsibility of this role is the management of payment claims, including the development and implementation of payment processes to ensure all claims and payment schedules meet relevant legislation timeframes. Additionally, the Senior Contract Administrator will review and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and projections in conjunction with the project managers.

Providing support to Project Managers as required is also an essential function of this position. Furthermore, the Senior Contract Administrator will be involved in DA approvals and the implementation of feasibilities/costings.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing robust policies, processes, and procedures for commercial procurement and contract management practices. A high attention to detail is crucial, as well as strong experience in Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, and Project. Additionally, a Bachelor's degree in Property Economics, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred but not essential.

Applicants with experience working on residential developments and commercial fit-outs are highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for success in this role.
