Job Title: Culinary Operations Manager

  We are seeking an experienced and passionate Culinary Operations Manager to oversee the kitchen operations at our hotel. This full-time role requires a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with proficient knife skills and a passion for fresh food.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Executive Chef/Sous Chef with culinary operations, ensuring food standards, preparation, ordering, presentation, and cooking techniques meet established recipes and standards.
  2. Supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Executive and Sous Chefs, delegating duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to meet service demands.
  3. Lead team members by setting a positive example, maintaining excellent presentation standards, and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
  4. Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, implementing and maintaining stock control procedures.
  5. Cultivate a positive work environment where learning and personal development are driven through quality improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Full Australian working rights.
  2. Previous experience in the hotel industry as a Culinary Operations Manager.
  3. Knowledge of food safety requirements, strong product knowledge of menu items and seasonal ingredients, and safe operation of kitchen equipment.
  4. Self-motivated and energetic, with a strong focus and passion for hotel operations.
