Business Development Role

About the Position

This role will support district managers and executive managers in driving regional revenue and growth through excellent customer service, connecting customers to products, and effective risk management. The position will manage and grow a portfolio of business customers, providing value across commercial and small business channels in each regional market.

Responsibilities

As a business development specialist, you will:

  • Maximise the visibility of our brand throughout the region by actively promoting the company at public events.
  • Manage relationships with business customers within your assigned portfolio tier.
  • Support improvements and monitor relevant customer satisfaction outcomes for the portfolio.
  • Assist with understanding and meeting holistic customer needs as well as lending needs and collaborate across channels to meet customer needs.
  • Design, implement, and monitor an annual business plan to achieve desired portfolio growth.
  • Build genuine relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively to drive a 'one team' approach ensuring support and service delivery as well as achieving customer and business needs.
  • Provide development opportunities for staff to allow achievement of current and future objectives and desired staff satisfaction results.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business or commerce.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial services.
  • Exceptional organisation and planning skills.
  • Understanding and application of risk analysis, cash flow analysis, portfolio management, evaluation, and analysis of profit projections, property valuation, credit mediation, security requirements, and credit checking.
  • Able to build strong relationships with stakeholders involving a wide range of people.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity in all working relationships including being able to maintain strict confidentiality when required.
