Chief Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our transhipment vessel. Reporting to the Master, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard;
  2. Supervise all Engineering Officers while adhering to Company procedures;
  3. Protect the Owner's and Company's interests at all times;
  4. Assist the Chief Officer in the operation of the ship's cargo equipment;
  5. Inform the Chief Officer of any bunker, lubricating oils or sludge transfers that may affect the ship's trim, stress, and/or stability.
About You

Requirements: Marine Order 72 – Engineer class 1; minimum 12 months sea time as a First Engineer; Certificate of Safety Training (STCW III/2); Work Safely at Heights Certification; Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification; Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) hold or eligibility; Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights; living in Australia; comfortable wearing a respirator.
