The role of Chief Engineer is a critical position in the operation and maintenance of our transhipment vessel.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join our team, responsible for the safe and efficient management of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard.

About the Role
  • Supervise Engineering Officers and ensure adherence to purchasing procedures and budgets.
  • Maintain the company's interests at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Officer on cargo equipment operations.
  • Monitor bunker, lubricating oils, and sludge transfers impacting ship stability.
Responsibilities
  1. Direct the daily activities of Engineering Officers.
  2. Safeguard company assets at all times.
  3. Support the Chief Officer in cargo handling operations.
  4. Track and manage fuel, oil, and waste resources affecting vessel trim.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months' experience as a First Engineer.
  • Engineer Class 1 certification from AMSA Marine Order 72.
  • Certificate of Safety Training (STCW III/2) and Work Safely at Heights Certification preferred.
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification preferred.
  • Australian citizenship or unrestricted work rights.
  • Residency in Australia.
  • Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment.
