About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mental Health Education Specialist to join our team at Cornerstone Medical Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to oversee clinical mental health treatment interventions and education, ensuring best practice across the service.

The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance on implementation and sustaining of the Mental Health Division's orientation and induction approach for new staff. They will work collaboratively with key stakeholders and leadership teams to deliver an integrated approach to the orientation program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a continuous quality improvement approach to ensure the smooth delivery of the orientation program.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to develop policies and procedures that support the Early Career Graduation Program.
  • Support the embedding of evidence-based practices, including Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA), informed peer practice supervision, and provision of support to clinical leads and managers.
  • Provide strategic planning and use of team and all staff in-service time, as well as quarterly all staff team time workshops.
  • Comply with relevant Federal, NT, and Local Government legislation, regulations, permits, and by-laws.
About You

We are looking for a professional with:

  • A completed tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, OT, Nursing, or Allied Health.
  • Eligibility for registration with AHPRA or AASW depending on discipline.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to represent to stakeholders and establish partnership approaches.
  • 5 years' experience in a health-related discipline.
  • Desirable experience working in a leadership role.
  • Previous demonstrated project management experience to lead reforms and change management processes, research, analyze information, and produce quality reports/proposals and track deliverables if required.
  • Experience in planning, facilitation, and training, with the ability to lead planning sessions, conduct in-services, and workshop training and reflective practice sessions.
  • Skills and experience in providing workforce development approaches to clinical mental health staff and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strategic communication and relationship management skills with the ability to successfully navigate working across a complex and dispersed division to achieve outcomes.
  • A passion for youth mental health and keen interest in improving service provision for young people and families in the Darwin, Palmerston, and Katherine regions.
Salary & Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $108,447.94 per annum, plus superannuation, super packaging option, and 5 weeks annual leave. A vehicle is also included in the package, plus a relocation allowance of $6,000.
