The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating corporate development opportunities, including partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring alignment with Anglicare's strategy and mission. They will lead high-impact transaction processes, from due diligence and financial modelling to negotiations and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and make recommendations on corporate development opportunities, considering strategic, valuation, and risk aspects.
- Generate innovative solutions to achieve strategic objectives, such as new ventures, partnerships, or capital structuring solutions.
- Coordinate transaction processes across various workstreams.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure action plans are in place to deliver strategic and financial objectives.
- Post-transaction reporting against original assumptions, targets, and commitments.
- Manage external adviser appointments and use them effectively.
- Represent Anglicare professionally and with integrity in commercial negotiations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of end-to-end M&A transaction experience is essential.
- A qualification in accounting, legal, or finance, or other relevant fields, is required.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to independently build financial models, valuations, and debt structures.
- Exceptional stakeholder relationship and communication skills.
- Post-transaction implementation experience is preferred.
- Prior knowledge of aged care is advantageous, but not necessary.
- Commitment to Anglicare Sydney's mission and values, including a Christian faith, is expected.
