Rehabilitation Consultant Job Description

Our organization seeks an experienced and skilled Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries at work.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting recovery and rehabilitation through collaboration with stakeholders, including injured employees and employers, medical specialists, and other allied health professionals.
  • Conducting various assessments, such as Vocational Assessments, Transferrable Skills Assessments, Job preparation services, Worksite Assessments, and initial needs assessments.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring rehabilitation plans through case management.
  • Ensuring successful return-to-work goals for clients, whether they return to their previous job or transition to new employment opportunities.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA or ASORC).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology (Fully registered or Provisional Psychologists with external supervision).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support shared goals.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate; Occupational Rehabilitation experience is highly desirable.
