Care Navigator for Aboriginal Communities
As a skilled nurse, you will provide expert support and guidance to individuals and communities affected by cancer, with a focus on remote areas within the Far West Local Health District.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community leaders to deliver comprehensive care services.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Elders, and Traditional Owners.
- Lead clinical practice development, reflecting best practices in cancer care.
Qualifications and Experience:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, with relevant post-registration qualifications and/or at least 3 years of experience working with cancer patients.
- Proven ability to engage and build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
