Job Description:

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide support and care navigation for individuals with a cancer diagnosis, focusing on remote communities within Far West Local Health District. You will work collaboratively with existing FWLHD Cancer Services staff, Aboriginal Health Services, and Primary Health Care providers to deliver high-quality patient care.

  • Provide information, education, and emotional support to patients and their families
  • Carefully manage and navigate care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Develop positive relationships with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, Elders, and Traditional Owners

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant post-registration qualifications and/or at least 3 years of experience working with cancer patients
  • Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses
