About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at BlueScope's Port Kembla Manufacturing facility. As a key member of our No.5 Blast Furnace team, you will be responsible for leading a multi-skilled team in the delivery of Mechanical Maintenance for our On-Furnace Section.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support through the investigation of equipment issues to ensure operational productivity and asset management targets are achieved.
  • Manage the team's success through their performance and productivity to ensure our business plan objectives and targets are continually met.
  • Oversee external maintenance contractors and ensure safety standards are adhered to.
  • Manage maintenance costs and supervise maintenance activities to strive for business improvements and manufacturing excellence.

Requirements

  • Advanced diploma or degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to translate business objectives to clear actions and outcomes for your team.
  • Competence in the application of maintenance management systems and processes.
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others.
