Job Title: Product Durability Testing Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Durability Testing Specialist to join our Coated Products Evaluation team at the Innovation Lab in Port Kembla Steelworks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments and evaluations of our product panels, including those exposed to outdoor and accelerated weathering conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of product panels to assess corrosion, humidity, and UV durability performance
  • Develop and maintain expertise in the performance and sustainability of our pre-painted products across various applications
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory NATA accreditation and maintain calibration of accelerated weathering machines
  • Capture and record credible quality data for analysis and reporting

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar field or a qualification in Materials Engineering, Science, or Chemistry
  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to the team's success
