Mining Technical Expert

The role of a Mining Technical Expert is crucial in providing expert guidance and support to customers in the mining sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in field service, lubricants technical support, reliability engineering, or mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of delivering value improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure optimal lubricant performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to drive incremental performance and deliver value to large Tier 1 mining customers.
  • Providing continuous improvement value delivery projects aligned to customer maintenance strategies.
  • Supporting the lubricant recommendation and management of change in product range within customer sites.

Requirements for this position include:

  • More than 3 years' experience in field service, lubricants technical support, reliability engineering, or mechanical engineering in a Heavy-Duty sector.
  • Lubricants and technical product knowledge of lubricants or heavy-duty mining equipment highly advantageous.
  • Proven attributes aligned with industry values and behaviors.
  • Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to operate with the highest level of safety focus in an environment with significant safety risk.
