Ground Movement Expert
This role involves providing technical leadership and expertise to safeguard communities, infrastructure, and the environment from the impacts of underground mining operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed risk assessments and develop predictive models to identify potential ground movement impacts.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on ground movement and associated infrastructure impacts.
- Provide technical advice on remediation, prevention, and mitigation measures to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, regulators, and community stakeholders to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
- Prepare expert technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical, Mining, or Civil Engineering.
- Significant experience in mine subsidence engineering, remediation/mine filling design, and geotechnical assessment.
- Proven track record in subsidence modelling and interpretation, structural impact assessment, and monitoring techniques.
- Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Subsidence Advisory NSW practices.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent registration desirable.
