Exciting Opportunity for a Mine Closure Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Mine Closure Specialist. This role will see you collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities.

As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for planning, assigning, and supervising the work of others, motivating and training staff to accomplish goals and meet deadlines. You will also compile and analyse technical planning data, prepare and present clear, concise reports, and communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

Key responsibilities include preparing and managing project schedules, supporting the monitoring and allocation of key resources, reviewing reports and providing technical input into diverse projects. You will also work proactively with mining clients to build effective networks and industry relationships.

To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Sciences/Management, experience on major mining projects, demonstrated experience in mine closure planning and major bulk earthworks-related projects, and independent thinking skills to challenge norms and develop new ideas.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Sciences/Management
  • Experience on both major mining projects and smaller brownfields sustaining capital projects
  • Demonstrated experience in mine closure planning and major bulk earthworks-related projects
  • Independent thinker able to challenge norms, develop new ideas, and keen to progress environmentally sustainable engineering solutions
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work virtually and face-to-face within a team environment
