Business Support Specialist Opportunity

This role is a permanent position that involves providing proactive administrative support to various functions and processes.

The Business Support Specialist will be working closely with project teams, authorities, contractors, and project administration in Ballarat.

Key responsibilities include managing subdivision processes associated with land development projects, ensuring all aspects are completed within set timeframes.

Additionally, the Business Support Specialist will provide exemplary support to project managers, relating to the management, provision, and delivery of projects.

This includes word processing, file organisation and maintenance, database filing, reporting, and administration support.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will assist project managers with financial reporting and tracking of project spend.

Coordination between service authorities, clients, project managers, and contractors is also a key aspect of this role.

General file management and record keeping are also expected duties.

Moreover, the Business Support Specialist will manage/coordinate tender distribution, receipt, and recording processes.

Preparation of payment certificates and approvals for accounts is another responsibility.

Requirements:
  • Strong administration and organisation skills with the ability to multi-task
  • A team player attitude with a pro-active and professional approach to work
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft office programs (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • High-level attention to detail, sound copywriting, editing, and proof-reading skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team to support multiple projects and conflicting priorities
  • Ability to collaborate and foster a cohesive team environment with a proven ability to self-manage
