Job Description

TAFE Queensland is a leading Vocational Education and Training provider in the State, with over 140 years of experience delivering practical and industry-relevant training.

As part of our team, you will be contributing to the delivery of high-quality human resource services to regional staff, ensuring cost efficiency and client responsiveness.

This role reports to the Manager, Human Resources and offers a Temporary Part Time opportunity (0.6 FTE, 21.75 hours per week) with possible extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality advice and services on human resource issues, including interpretation of legislation, award conditions, directives, and policies.
  • Manage recruitment and selection processes, establishment management, and human resource operational procedures/policies and delegations.
  • Extract and manipulate human resource management data, provide regular reports, and develop role descriptions in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to the development, documentation, and implementation of quality procedures, ensuring human resource best practice.
  • Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and have attention to detail in performance of work tasks.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary human resource management practices through interpretation of legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Project administration skills, including defining project tasks, setting priorities, and coordinating activities effectively.
  • Sound research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including developing options and solutions to meet human resource management needs.
  • Competence in the operation of computerised systems and ability to manipulate data to draw and analyse reports as requested.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication, negotiation, and consultation skills.
