About the Role

As a Construction Engineer, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating design and on-site engineering activities for building services. Your goal will be to achieve project time and budget objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the management of building services (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire) to ensure that emerging documentation meets required specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with building services engineering consultants and subcontractors as needed.
  • In collaboration with the Contracts Administrator, identify opportunities for cost savings and assist with product selection and problem-solving to achieve best value.
  • Review documentation for adequacy of design input.
  • Monitor production of workshop drawings and as-built documents.
  • Maintain quality control, engineering, and safety standards during construction and plant installation on site.
  • Contribute to handover and commissioning processes, including submission of final documentation, as-built records, authority approvals, warranties, training, and guarantees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar fields.
  • Experience in coordinating mechanical and/or electrical design, construction, and installation activities on building projects.
  • Ability to communicate, influence, and build effective relationships at all levels within the business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
