About You:

Hold a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Work, Social Work, or similar qualification

Australian Driver's Licence (P2 or higher)

Blue card & Yellow card

Current First Aid & CPR certificate

3 months paid experience as a Residential Youth Worker

Ability to work day, night, and weekend shifts as required

Live in QLD with easy access to Ipswich, Toowoomba, and Bundaberg

Our Expectations:

As a casual Residential Youth Worker, you'll empower young people living in out-of-home care to thrive in a nurturing environment. Our rosters provide stability, while emergency and ad hoc shifts ensure flexibility. Your role will involve:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a secure home environment for at-risk young people
  • Support personal care needs, including meal assistance and hygiene routines
  • Transport children to school, appointments, and community activities
  • Foster skills development and socialisation within the local community
  • Administer medications and report requirements for children on Child Protection orders
  • Provide trauma-informed care for young people with complex behavioural issues and traumatic backgrounds
  • Engage in Trauma Recovery practice and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within three months
