Young People Support Specialist

Our organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intensive Therapeutic Care Worker to provide direct support, care, and mentorship to children and young people living in residential homes across the Central Coast. Some of the young people we care for may have disabilities or complex medical needs requiring specialized support.
This role involves working in a team environment to ensure a safe and homelike environment where these young people can thrive. The successful candidate will support the development of independent life skills, problem-solving skills, and positive relationships with others.
The role requires applicants to work a roster that includes afternoon, sleepover, and weekend shifts. We are looking for individuals who are able and willing to work flexibly and contribute to our 24/7 service.
To be successful in this role, candidates will require:
- A Diploma in Community Services or a related field (or willingness to complete a Diploma offered by our organization)
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR certificates
- Experience working with high behaviors and people with disabilities
- An Australian Driver's Licence
Successful candidates will be required to undergo probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children Check.
