Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced HR team as Assistant Human Resources Manager in Broome, Western Australia.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a hotel/resort environment, knowledge of Industrial Relations, Recruitment, Privacy and Training legislation, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction to departments in the absence of the HR Manager.
  • Assist in implementing grievance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Advise staff on employment-related matters, including entitlements, accommodation, benefits, contract terms and conditions, and Resort policies and procedures.
  • Deliver training and support to the HR team.
  • Ensure legal requirements are met regarding discrimination, sexual harassment, minimum conditions, OH&S, grievance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Manage apprentices and trainees through close contact with external training organizations and agencies.
  • Oversee performance management and training development systems.
  • Administer Health and wellbeing programs.
  • Coordinate Visa and sponsorship information.
Requirements
  • Human Resources Qualification or 3 years HR management experience.
  • Previous experience in a Hotel/Resort environment preferred.
  • Intermediate level skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Office 365 SharePoint.
  • Strong customer service experience required.
  • Current driver's license.
