Role Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our resort-based HR team. This generalist role focuses on recruitment and training, forming part of a team providing Human Resources support for up to 300 staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end recruitment, including high-volume periods;
  • Assist the HR Manager with performance management and workplace investigations;
  • Provide accurate advice to staff on award interpretation, workplace legislation, and Resort policies and procedures;
  • Coordinate and present Resort Orientation regularly;
  • Coordinate training with RTOs and maintain training records;
  • Assist with managing the seasonal worker program, including pastoral care for workers;
  • Monitor and report on Apprentices and Interns;
  • Assist with other department projects as required;
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, tourism, business, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in a HR advisor, Human Resources Consultant, or similar role with knowledge of the HIGA Award;
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, and communication skills;
  • A confident and discreet manner to manage sensitive information.
