About the Opportunity

SA Power Networks is seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Emergency Response to join their Asset Management & Operations team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of emergency response initiatives within Powerline & Electrical Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the team, leading to zero accidents and injuries. They will also be responsible for cultivating a competitive service-oriented culture, valuing customer relationships and focusing on quality service outcomes.

The Operations Manager - Emergency Response will be accountable for the leadership of their work group and for establishing and managing emergency response practices that are safe, efficient and cost-effective. They will also contribute to the strategic direction of the operations and operationalize the strategy for successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of emergency response professionals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless emergency response operations.
  • Monitor and analyze emergency response performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in emergency response management.

About You

  • You have a strong background in emergency response management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • You possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • You are a strategic thinker, with the ability to develop and implement effective emergency response plans and procedures.
  • You are a collaborative team player, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
