SA Power Networks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager - Emergency Response to join their Asset Management & Operations team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the operational management and ensure effective financial control of Dispatch Operations and emergency response initiatives within Powerline & Electrical Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety and excellence, leading to zero accidents and injuries. They will also be responsible for cultivating a competitive service-oriented culture within their team, which values customer relationships and focuses on quality service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Provide sound financial management and control of all aspects of the group's operations.
  • Establish and maintain a commercially focused culture that understands and controls costs.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the operations and operationalise the strategy for successful implementation.
  • Provide overall operational coordination and direction of Powerline operational groups to ensure that business objectives are achieved.
  • Effectively utilise resources to ensure labour productivity is maximised and operating expenses are minimised and appropriately assigned.
  • Develop a strong, profitable relationship with key internal and external customers with a focus on keeping customers accurately informed.
  • Promote productivity and process improvement within workgroups to ensure the business objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure regulatory standards are met within the area and SA Power Networks with a focus on the management of the life support customer processes and systems.
About You
  • You are a motivated and enthusiastic leader that enjoys working in a high performing team and is constantly looking for progress and improvements.
  • You can communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders (from Operational Leaders to Senior Executive level) in a role focused on delivering quality service.
  • You have extensive experience as a leader and have advanced Project Management skills.
  • You have highly developed analytical skills and an advanced application of Continuous Improvement & Change Management capabilities.
Essential Role Requirements
  • Graduate Degree in Management
  • 10 years' experience as an Operational Manager in a medium sized operational business
  • Current Driver's Licence
