Curriculum Leader - Science | Brisbane Inner South

SchoolHouse is partnering with an independent secondary school for girls in Brisbane's inner south to find a highly skilled Curriculum Leader for their Science department. The school offers a high-quality education for young women, with a teaching program designed to prepare students for the challenges of a dynamic and ever-changing world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Science curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's educational goals and standards.
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons, promoting student learning and achievement.
  • Develop and manage the Science budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and utilization.
  • Mentor and support Science teachers, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their teaching practice.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading curriculum development and implementation in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Science pedagogy and curriculum design, with a focus on student-centered learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive student achievement and school improvement.
